Reports REPORT OF FLOOD ACTIVITIES BY MEHFILE HUSSAINI HYDERABAD Special Reports SPECIAL GENERAL BODY MEETING OF KSIAJ HYDERABAD HELD ON 4TH NOVEMBER 2010 MR. MEHBOOB REZA GHULAM HUSSAIN HYDERY ELECTED UNOPPOSED PRESIDENT OF HYDERABAD JAMMAT A Special General Body meeting of KSIAJ Hyderabad was convened on 4th November 2010 at Mehfil-e-Hussani to elect the new President of the Jammat A Special General Body meeting of KSIAJ Hyderabad was convened on 4th November 2010 at Mehfil-e-Hussani to elect the new President of the Jammat. The meeting started with recitation of verses from Holy Quran followed by Fateha for all the departed souls. Senior Member Br. Ali Raza presided over the meeting. He announced that Brother Mehboob Reza Ghulam Hussain Hydery has been unanimously elected as new President of Hyderabad Jammat. He added that the Jammat reposes hundred percent confidence in him. He then requested Brother Dilawar Hussain Ex-President to present the report of activities carried out during the year 20090-2010. Br Dilawar Hussain presenting a detailed report informed the members that by the grace of God Almighty and with the cooperation of members of the Jamaat a number of programmes have been successfully carried out during the period under report. In this regard he particularly mentioned the programmes held during the months of Muharram, Rajab Shaban and Ramzan. He added that the collective Qurbani programme also proved to be very successful. He further said that the project of graveyard has been initiated with the donations of Rs.30, 000/- by the members of Managing committee. The work is in progress and will be completed by June 2011. He appealed to all the members to donate generously so that the project may be completed as early as possible. He told the meeting that similarly Zanabia Blood Bank, Education Programme including Religious education, provision of medical facilities, distribution of ration among needy families are running smoothly. He Thanked Br. Turab Ali, Br. Hammad Siddiqui and He also thanked Br. Shahid Hussain Lalji for the interest he is taking in running the Education programme. Brother Dilawar Hussain further informed the meeting that during the recent floods an emergency relief operation was carried out. Under this programme ration, accommodation, medical facilities and transportation was provided to flood affected families. He thanked Dr. Ghulam Abbas and his team of volunteers who worked day and night to provide assistance to the flood victims. He also informed the members that website of Hyderabad Jammat has been developed besides under the SMS service over one hundred thousand messages have been sent to the members. The address of the website is: www.mehfilehussaini.com He told the members that in line with our Karachi Jammat we have also disassociated our selves from the World Federation since the Federation has refused to give membership to our brothers of Indo-Pak origin settled in Dubai. He thanked Zanabia Trust for providing shelter to our brothers who have shifted to Karachi. He also offered his gratitude for all the donors from different parts of the World including Karachi and Hyderabad along with HWT and Friends Education and Medical Trust. He particularly thanked KPSIA Jammat Karachi and Mehfil-e-Murtaza for their valuable cooperation and assistance. He offered special thanks to “Zulfiqar” weekly Karachi and noted that the weekly has been providing full coverage to the reports and activities of Hyderabad Jammat. Concluding his speech Br. Dilawar Hussain assured the newly elected President Br. Mehboob Reza Hydery of his full cooperation and appealed the members to offer their valuable suggestions to the new team. SPEECH BY THE NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT The newly elected President Br. Mehboob Reza Hydery addressing the meeting thanked the members for reposing full confidence in him and assured them that he will try his best to come up to their expectations. He said that we shall continue all the existing programmes and as and when more funds are available we will expand our activities, improve the religious programmes during the months of Ramzan, Muharram and Rajab Shaban. WE will also expand the scope of Sunday religious classes so that maximum number of children may get benefit from it. He said our priority will be to pay special attention to the education sector so that our future generation may have excess to quality education. He added that no community can progress without education. He announced that we shall launch a micro credit programme for providing financial assistance to un-employed youth so that they are able to start their own business. He requested Br. Mehboob Badami and Br. Abbas Badami to help our educated youth in getting jobs in the banking sector. Referring to Zanabia Blood Bank he said under the supervision of Br. Turab Ali this blood bank is among the five largest blood banks in the country. He said we shall try to expand this service into a modern hospital for providing services to the ailing humanity. He added that in this way job opportunities will also be created for of educated youth. He said with the consultation of new cabinet a detailed programme for the welfare of the members of the jammat will be chalked out very soon and the same will be circulated among all the members for their suggestions. He requested the members to drop their suggestions in the office of the Jammat and assured that the same will be considered seriously. He hoped that HWT, Friends Education and Medical Trust, KPSAJ Karachi, Mehfi-e-Murtaza and all the respected donors in Pakistan and abroad will continue their generous cooperation and assistance. He said that without their cooperation it would not be possible for us to accomplish our noble goals and objectives. He specially thanked Br. Dilawar Shaban Ali & brothers, Br. Ali Hussain Bhayani and Br. Amir Ali Wazir Ali and brothers for the keen interest they are taking in our efforts for the progress and prosperity of Hyderabad Jammat. In the end he requested Br. Turab Ali and Bro. Dilawar Hussain for their continues assistance and guidance in running the affairs of Hyderabad Jammat. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by senior member Br. Ali Raza. KSIAJ HYDERABAD ELECTED NEW OFFICE BEARERS FOR THE TERM 2010-2013 The following office bearers of KSIA Jammat Hyderabad have been nominated by the newly elected President for the term 2010-13.
